This is the downtown Monterey local coffee awesomeness with crepes, because apparently crepes are a thing in monetery.

Parking is street only which just means (unless it's sunday morning) there is no parking. It is a block or so away from the downtown bus depot thingy, a block away from the portola hotel valet, and across the street from the downtown parking garage all of which give you some additional options.

Inside it's ...well it's not the smallest spot in montery (looking at you, bright) but it's by far not the largest and when it gets busy-and it will get busy-it'll seem smaller then it is. There are ten or so table/chair combos inside which can be pushed together if you don't mind crowding if you need a four spot (assuming there are two tables unoccupied.), some cozy window spots, and a handful of outside sidewalk not really comfortable patio styled ironmongery.  The inside seating is more then comfortable then it looks, the outside seating less so. The best spots by far are the window nooks.

Service is of the order at counter, pay at counter, and pick up when called model. There may be a line, but it moves quick. Generally speaking it pays to know what you want when you get to the counter, and the crepe's are made to order when ordered, which means at least fifteen minutes of lead time. Worth the wait, but if you're in a hurry go for something else. Pastries are good verging on great and the coffee is excellent. On par with the starbucks, and arguably better.

Pricing-considering the are standard-isn't too bad. A plain jane cuppa and a sweet rolls in at less then four-five bucks. Sure a crepe and coffee will clock in at ten bucks (at least. four toppings and a latte will be closing in on twenty) or so-but that's the best deal on the block.

Altogether it's a great unsophisticated spot for a caffeine power up in ye olde downtown monterey.

3 star food, 2 star service.

Good spread of breakfast options, decent taste. Things took a long time to get to our table on a not so busy day. So a mixed bag!

Buy Local coffee support local art.
The barista with a M. Name is so pretty and nice and I love her demeanor.  Give her a raise. So polite and intelligent and respectful and dignified and her customer service is impeccable.  15$ per hour, manager on duty much?

    God bless, Miss M.  (Heart)

Cute little place on the corner. Staff has been friendly so far. I like all their milkshakes! The avocado milkshake is my favorite! Forget the T Zone! This place not only have coffee, bobas, milk tea, milkshakes, ice cream, pastries, crepes both sweet and savory and much more! I tried this place after the disappointment of The T Zone. Wish I went here sooner. They also give a student/military discount. The only negative thing I can think of is that at times there are people smoking right outside the door and the smokes will go into the the area.

We stumbled upon this spot for breakfast one morning and then made it a habit to visit every morning for the rest of our trip. Favorites here include the following:

-Sausage, egg, & cheese on a croissant which is both tender and flaky with excellent flavor

-Bagel with cream cheese which is very savory. I'm not sure where the cream cheese is from, but it is the creamiest, smoothest cream cheese I've ever had

-Bagel turkey and cheese sandwich which was delicious and left us craving more

-Cinnamon roll was Uber sweet for mornings you need an extra kick!

-Iced Americano with coconut milk is a delicious way to caffeinate in the morning

-Both the Strawberry mango banana and the peach mango pineapple which were both juicy, sweet, and filling!

Overall, we're sad to be heading home and leaving such a wonderful breakfast spot with not only great food but exceptional service and a wonderfully low key atmosphere
